How to Clean Interiors -
Walls & Floors

Venture RV Maintenance Tips how to clean interior walls and floors

To clean vinyl floors, use a mild soap and water with a damp mop. However, do not pour water on the floor, because it could leak under cabinet frames and panels and damage the wood.

Treat the carpet in your RV as you would in your home by vacuuming. Tough or deep stains may require you to use a professional cleaning service.

Countertops that have a surface material laminated to a wood composite material can be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge. You can use general all-purpose cleaners on tougher stains, but make sure the liquid does not seep under faucets and sinks to the substrate material underneath.

Solid surface countertops are heat resistant, but an extremely hot pan or dish can scorch or crack the countertop. Place a heat absorbing pad under hot dishes to protect your countertop.

To clean them, use detergents or a bleach and water solution. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

For the sink bowl, pour ¼ to ½ cup of cup of bleach into the sink after it’s been filled to the top with water. Let it stand for 15 to 30 minutes. Abrasive cleaners can be used on the sink.
